Our tour takes us to Strokestown House, an 18th Century mansion designed by Richard Cassel for the Mahon family.

The tour includes a guided tour of the house and National Famine Museum created within the house containing papers relating to the Great Famine which devastated Irish Rural life and led to mass emigration. As part of the famine museum, a Georgian walled fruit and vegetable garden with peach house and vinery are included.
