Strokestown House and the Famine Museum

Our tour takes us to Strokestown House, an 18th Century mansion designed by Richard Cassel for the Mahon family.

The tour includes a guided tour of the house and National Famine Museum created within the house containing papers relating to the Great Famine which devastated Irish Rural life and led to mass emigration.
